A focused advanced adult practicum that builds on Stafford's earlier welding courses. The instructor works with students on selected competencies in oxy-fuel and plasma-arc cutting, Stick welding in multiple positions, MIG, Flux-Core, and TIG. Prior Stafford welding coursework or equivalent experience is required. With instructor approval, students may schedule AWS performance qualification testing in MIG, Flux-Core, or Stick for an additional fee.

It is designed as a broad introduction rather than proficiency training. Safety glasses, helmet, gloves, and a welding jacket are included; students supply leather footwear and a long-sleeved shirt.
