The two-year AAS combines welding technology with general education and electives that may support later bachelor-level study. Its four-semester sequence covers Stick, MIG, TIG and Flux-Core welding, metallurgy and testing, welder qualifications, blueprint interpretation, and industrial and ornamental fabrication. Students work with steel, stainless steel and aluminum, complete field projects, and take a welding-certification course in the final semester.

The two-year Associate in Occupational Studies pipefitting concentration prepares students for direct workforce entry. It combines the Welding Technology program's Stick, MIG, TIG and Flux-Core training and fabrication work with pipefitting study in laying out, threading and understanding mechanical pipe systems. Students use industry-standard welding and fabrication equipment, work with multiple metals and can access New York State Department of Transportation certification testing on campus.

This two-year Associate in Occupational Studies is structured for direct workforce entry. The four-semester major sequence covers shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc and flux-cored arc welding, metallurgy and testing, welder qualifications, sheet-metal design, industrial and ornamental fabrication, blueprint interpretation and a final welding-certification course. It includes fewer liberal-arts requirements than the AAS and adds applied technical study.

Students can earn this certificate after successfully completing the first year of Welding Technology. The published first-year sequence includes Stick, MIG, TIG and Flux-Core welding, metallurgy and testing, welder qualifications, blueprint interpretation and sheet-metal design and fabrication. The program uses steel, stainless steel and aluminum in a modern welding lab.
