About Sussex County Community College (school-wide)

Sussex County Community College offers a two-year Welding Technology option within its Technical Studies A.A.S. and a one-year Welding Technology certificate. The curricula combine classroom study with shop training in Stick, MIG, TIG, pipe welding, fabrication, and oxyfuel work. Students also study print interpretation, metallurgy, welding inspection and testing, and code-based weld qualification. Welding instruction uses the Newton campus and the nearby McGuire Technical Education Center, where the college documents oxyfuel coursework and welding facilities.
