This 1,296-hour program uses industrial-style classroom and practical welding activities to prepare students for welding employment. Training progresses through Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc and Gas Tungsten Arc welding, normalized as Stick, MIG and TIG. Students also study metal heat and properties, joint design and layout, and receive opportunities for occupational certification. Stackable exits include 432-hour Shielded Metal Arc Welder, 864-hour Gas Metal Arc Welder and 1,296-hour Gas Tungsten Arc Welder certificates, culminating in the Combination Welder diploma.
