This 1,296-hour program prepares students for welding work through practical training in Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc and Flux-Cored Arc welding, normalized as Stick, MIG, TIG and Flux-Core. The curriculum also covers cutting techniques, grinding, metallurgy, layout and fabrication, and work involving pipe, valves and fittings. Stackable exits include a 432-hour SMAW Welder certificate and an 864-hour GMAW Welder certificate before the 1,296-hour Combination Welder diploma.
