This 1,296-hour, hands-on program prepares students for industrial welding and metal-fabrication work. Official current information documents Stick, MIG and TIG welding; oxyfuel cutting; metal cutting, grinding and setup; joint design and layout; and basic fabrication. Students weld mild carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Stackable exits include 432-hour Shielded Metal Arc Welder, 864-hour Gas Metal Arc Welder and 1,296-hour Gas Tungsten Arc Welder certificates before the Combination Welder diploma.
