Students learn welding fundamentals with a shipbuilding and repair focus, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding, metal fabrication, plasma and oxyfuel cutting, advanced plate work, and TIG welding on carbon-steel pipe. Training uses hands-on facilities and supports AWS certification opportunities in structural steel, bridge-code plate, and pipe qualification positions.
