Trident Technical College provides comprehensive welding education for beginning and experienced students at its Thornley Campus welding facility. The associate pathway combines general education with selectable welding concentration groups and supporting study in metallurgy, weld quality and print interpretation. Current official listings also identify certificates in Gas Metal Arc Welding Fundamentals, Introduction to Arc Welding, Welding Gas Tungsten Arc and Welding Professional. Across the pathways, documented processes include MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core, pipe, structural and fabrication welding. The welding program is an AWS S.E.N.S.E. Level I and II program and also lists NCCER-certified trainers, a PrimED testing facility and Department of Transportation welder-training authorization.
