Umpqua Community College offers three hands-on welding credentials at its Roseburg campus: a two-year Associate of Applied Science, a one-year certificate and an Aluminum Only pathway certificate. The curriculum progresses through Stick, MIG, Pulse MIG, gas- and self-shielded Flux-Core, TIG and aluminum arc welding; pipe welding and fitting; positional structural work; oxyfuel welding; oxyfuel and plasma cutting; air-carbon-arc cutting/gouging; metallurgy, drafting and advanced fabrication projects.
