The University of Alaska Anchorage is an open-access public university whose Community and Technical College and community campuses offer four current welding certificates. Anchorage students can complete a 19-credit entry-level Welding Occupational Endorsement Certificate or a 22-credit Advanced Welding certificate focused on pipe fabrication, fitting, and qualification testing. Kenai River Campus offers a one-year, 32-credit Welding Technology certificate for structural, pipe, and aluminum welding certification, while Kodiak College offers a 30-credit Welding undergraduate certificate. Across these pathways, officially documented training includes Stick, MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, pipe, structural and fabrication work, plasma arc cutting, and oxy-acetylene cutting.
