About University of Alaska Fairbanks (school-wide)
The University of Alaska Fairbanks offers a 24-credit Entry-Level Welding Occupational Endorsement through its Community and Technical College. The in-person cohort trains at the Hutchison Center in Fairbanks and combines classroom instruction with hands-on shop work in MIG, TIG, Stick, oxyacetylene welding, oxyfuel cutting and metal fabrication. Evening and weekend courses are sequenced across fall and spring terms, and graduates are prepared to sit for the American Welding Society Certified Welder test.
