Virginia School of Metal is a private welding school that has moved to a 6,000-square-foot facility in Waynesboro under new ownership. Courses range from short introductory workshops to career-focused training and process-specific AWS qualification classes. Current official pages document hands-on instruction in MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux-Core welding, while career material also documents plasma and oxyacetylene cutting. The school offers weekday hours Tuesday through Thursday and selected classes every other weekend.
