A 21-unit certificate preparing students for entry-level combination-welder work. Required coursework includes oxyacetylene welding, oxyfuel cutting and brazing; basic and advanced Stick; basic and advanced TIG; basic and advanced MIG; and welding symbols and blueprint reading. TIG laboratories include mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, and the curriculum includes substantial lecture and hands-on laboratory hours.
