Waldo County Technical Center is a public secondary career and technical school in Belfast, Maine. Its Welding Technology program can be taken for one or two years and centers on hands-on arc-welding practice. First-year students develop all-position Stick welding and oxyacetylene welding and cutting skills; qualifying second-year students progress to MIG, Flux-Core and TIG welding plus fabrication projects. The program also includes cutting and gouging, shop safety, weld-joint design, print reading and opportunities to complete AWS structural-welding tests.
