A 30-credit certificate completed in two 15-credit semesters. Students receive paired theory and laboratory instruction in Stick fillet and groove welding, MIG and Flux-Core welding, oxyfuel cutting, plasma arc cutting, and carbon arc cutting. Supporting requirements include industrial print reading, vocational technical English, and applied mathematics. Hands-on work is designed around fabrication and repair of steel components for construction, manufacturing, and repair settings.

A 56-credit standard certificate for students pursuing pipe-welding work in heavy industries. The four-semester curriculum builds from Stick fillet and groove welding, MIG and Flux-Core welding, and oxyfuel, plasma, and carbon arc cutting into TIG welding on carbon- and stainless-steel pipe and Stick welding on carbon pipe. Students also complete industrial print reading, vocational technical English, applied mathematics, and an optional certification laboratory. Entry requires passing or being able to pass a 3G and 4G plate test to the AWS D1.1 code using specified electrodes and joint conditions.
