This 1,030-clock-hour, 39-credit Certificate of Completion is structured as 11 courses over about 13 months. Approximately 80 percent of training is hands-on. Students begin with oxyacetylene welding and cutting and progress through Stick, MIG, TIG, Flux-Core and Innershield plate welding, structural-code work, pipe layout and fit-up, and combination Stick/TIG pipe welding. Required technical work includes practice and testing for AWS D1.1 structural certifications and API 1104 pipe certifications, followed by a 140-hour welding/fabrication internship.
