Western Wyoming College is a public college based in Rock Springs. Its Welding Technology pathway currently includes a 64-credit Industrial Plant Associate of Applied Science and a shorter Industrial Plant Option certificate. Students receive flexible, hands-on lab instruction in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding for structural components and piping systems, with additional AAS coursework in oxyacetylene welding and cutting, plate and pipe welding, fabrication, and stainless steel pipe. The welding lab operates extended Monday-through-Thursday hours so students can schedule practice around other commitments.
