The Wilbur H. Palmer Career & Technical Education Center at Alvirne High School offers a two-year Welding & Fabrication program to students from Hudson and surrounding communities. The sequence begins with flat-position arc welding, oxy-acetylene cutting and basic MIG, then advances to MIG, TIG and Stick welding, oxyfuel work and plasma cutting. Students complete hands-on exercises and self-directed fabrication projects and may earn articulated Fundamentals of Welding credit through Manchester Community College after completing the full two-year program.
