This two-year high-school CTE sequence prepares students for entry-level work or further welding study. Welding & Fabrication I covers flat-position arc welding, oxy-acetylene cutting and basic MIG through hands-on exercises. In year two, students advance in MIG, TIG and Stick welding and use oxyfuel and plasma equipment while designing and completing self-directed fabrication projects. The sequence also includes gas welding and brazing, with articulated Fundamentals of Welding credit available through Manchester Community College to eligible completers.
