This 960-clock-hour diploma is organized into four six-week phases and is taught about 70 percent in the shop. Students begin with MIG, Flux-Core, Stick, oxyfuel cutting, and welding in multiple positions; advance into TIG, plasma cutting, and structural concepts; then complete stainless and aluminum TIG and pipe welding. The final phase emphasizes advanced pipe work, metal fabrication, production methods, and an individual or group capstone. Training is project-based and built around AWS-, ASME-, and API-aligned welding qualification standards.
