Central Piedmont Community College offers a stackable Welding Technology pathway at Harper Campus. Students can pursue an Associate in Applied Science, diploma, and specialized certificates in entry-level welding, Stick pipe welding, gas metal arc welding, robotic welding and cutting, and pipe fitting. Depending on the credential, curriculum includes Stick, MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, plate and pipe welding, thermal cutting, welding symbols, inspection and qualification practices, fabrication, and automated welding. Current credit welding labs and classes are held at Harper Campus only.
