Central Virginia Community College offers credit and workforce welding pathways ranging from beginning-welder career studies certificates through a Technical Studies - Welding AAS and four levels of NCCER welding training. Documented instruction includes Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, TIG, pipe and tube welding, oxyfuel cutting, drawings and symbols, qualification testing, metallurgy, fabrication, and shop safety. Credit welding courses are scheduled at the Lynchburg Main Campus; a current FastForward NCCER Level 1 cohort is published at the Appomattox Center.
