This two-year Associate of Applied Science combines a welding technical specialization with general education, professional coursework, and an internship opportunity. The welding curriculum supports beginning through advanced work in Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, and TIG; pipe and tube welding; qualification testing; drawing interpretation; metallurgy; fabrication; and safety. It is the current highest-level welding award after CVCC replaced its former Welding certificate effective fall 2025.
