This 35-credit certificate develops welding theory and practical employment skills through math, welding foundations, oxyfuel and plasma cutting, blueprint reading, flat SMAW, GMAW and GTAW. Students choose two additional courses in vertical SMAW, intermediate GMAW or intermediate GTAW. The program is designed to prepare graduates for welding and joining technician work and qualification testing.
