About Chattahoochee Technical College (school-wide)
Chattahoochee Technical College offers a hands-on Welding and Joining Technology diploma plus stand-alone and embedded technical certificates. The diploma combines welding theory, blueprint reading, cutting and gouging with extensive shop practice in SMAW, GMAW and GTAW; current electives include fabrication, pipe welding and an industry practicum. The 2026-27 catalog lists eleven distinct stackable welding certificates, ranging from process-specific beginner pathways to intermediate and advanced GMAW, GTAW and SMAW credentials. Current official sources place the diploma at Appalachian and Paulding campuses and a welding dual-enrollment pathway at the Bartow County College and Career Academy.
