Craven Community College offers a Welding Technology associate degree, diploma, and four progressive certificates covering entry-level welding, intermediate skills, fabrication, and advanced pipe welding. Credit coursework combines safety, cutting, blueprint and symbol interpretation, metallurgy, inspection, certification practices, and hands-on MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core, pipe, and fabrication work. Workforce Development also offers separate NCCER Welding Levels 1 through 4 and a combined Levels 1 and 2 course at the Havelock campus and Volt Center, with classroom, demonstration, shop practice, performance evaluations, and NCCER credentials.
