Davis Technical College offers a 24-credit Welding Technology Certificate of Program Completion with biweekly start dates and flexible morning, afternoon and evening shop schedules. This 24-credit certificate provides hands-on welding and cutting instruction on ferrous and nonferrous metals. Training includes oxyfuel cutting, MIG, Stick, Flux-Core and TIG welding, other thermal and mechanical cutting, process and shop safety, basic print reading and AWS welding symbols. Students may pursue AWS Certified Welder, and the program is AWS-accredited at an AWS Accredited Testing Facility.
