Davis Technical College offers a 24-credit Welding Technology Certificate of Program Completion with biweekly start dates and flexible morning, afternoon and evening shop schedules. Students receive hands-on instruction in MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux-Core welding, oxyfuel and other thermal and mechanical cutting, ferrous and nonferrous metals, welding safety, basic print reading and AWS welding symbols. The program is accredited by the American Welding Society, Davis Tech is an AWS Accredited Testing Facility, and AWS Certified Welder is listed among the available certifications. Welding is taught at the Kaysville main campus and at the Utah Department of Corrections Instructional Service Center.
