East Valley Institute of Technology provides hands-on welding and metal-fabrication training for adult and high-school students. EVIT is an AWS Accredited Testing Facility and publishes opportunities for welding students to earn AWS certifications. Adult welding is offered at the Dr. A. Keith Crandell Main Campus, while high-school and blended welding is offered at Main, Power, and the Skyline High School welding campus.

A hands-on high-school and blended career-technical program covering Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding with industry-standard tools and thermal cutting equipment. Students also study blueprint reading, weldment testing, safety, and metal fabrication. EVIT is an AWS Accredited Testing Facility, and the program explicitly provides opportunities to earn AWS certifications and OSHA 10.
