Iowa Western Community College offers a two-semester Welding Technology diploma and a one-semester Welding certificate in Council Bluffs; the certificate is also available at the Clarinda Center. This short-term workforce course trains students in MIG, Stick and Flux-Core welding through hands-on practice and explicitly prepares participants for AWS certification testing. The published Fall 2026 section meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Business and Community Training Center, and the college states that AWS testing is hosted on site.
