The 61-credit Welding Technology A.A.S. prepares students for technician-level welding work and possible transfer into welding engineering technology. Coursework combines stick, MIG and TIG welding on plate and pipe with cutting, fabrication, metallurgy, blueprint reading, inspection, procedure documentation and a capstone. Graduates are expected to produce AWS code-quality welds in all positions and may complete NYSDOT welder testing at no additional charge.
