SUNY Jamestown Community College offers a two-year Welding Technology A.A.S., a one-year certificate, process-specific welding microcredentials and short-term workforce training. Students use dedicated manufacturing technology welding labs for stick, MIG, TIG and flux-cored welding, including plate, pipe, fabrication, blueprint reading and code-quality work. The 31-credit Welding Technology certificate provides two semesters of hands-on and classroom training in stick, MIG and TIG welding, safety and cutting, engineering drawing and advanced welding. Students work toward code-quality welds on plate and pipe and can continue into the Welding Technology A.A.S.
