This 63-64-credit occupational degree combines 15-16 credits of general education with 36 credits of welding and a 12-credit automotive-manufacturing minor. Welding requirements cover Stick fillet and groove welding, MIG, Flux-Core, TIG carbon-pipe welding, SMAW carbon-pipe welding, plasma and carbon-arc cutting, welding inspection and testing. Theory and lab courses develop skills on plate and pipe in multiple positions. The college's welding page states students have the opportunity to become AWS certified.
