Piedmont Technical College offers a General Technology associate degree with a welding concentration plus advanced, basic, MIG, Stick and TIG welding certificates. Current programs are available at the Lex Walters Campus in Greenwood and the Laurens Center for Advanced Manufacturing. Students train in well-equipped industrial laboratories and can study during the day or evening, developing practical skills in MIG, Stick and TIG welding, structural plate and pipe positions, gas welding, oxyacetylene cutting and metal fabrication.
