This 68-credit AAS concentration combines general education with a comprehensive welding core and a secondary technical specialty. Welding study includes MIG, Stick and TIG, maintenance gas welding, advanced fabrication, pipefitting and pipe welding in 2G, 5G and 6G positions. Students practice flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead welding on structural steel and pipe and complete practical weld tests to AWS and ASME code requirements.
