Somerset Community College offers hands-on Welding Technology education with academic pathways ranging from five-credit helper and cutting certificates to a Combination Welder diploma and a locally advertised two-year AAS. Current curricula cover Stick, MIG, TIG, welding certification, pipe applications, oxyfuel systems, multiple thermal-cutting methods, and selected advanced processes such as Flux-Core, submerged-arc, orbital-tube, and automated welding. The college's current program page identifies both Somerset and Laurel campuses as welding locations and lists eighteen distinct certificates in addition to the diploma and AAS.
