Southwestern Oregon Community College offers a 93-credit Welding AAS, a one-year Welding Certificate of Completion, and shorter career-pathway certificates. Official curricula document shop training in Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, TIG, pipe welding, fabrication, oxyacetylene welding, brazing, oxyfuel and plasma cutting, scarfing, and air-arc gouging. The AAS is an AWS entry-level certified program, and successful completion of AWS portions of welding courses can qualify students for an AWS entry-level Certificate of Completion. A current Fall 2026 initiative also makes the Welding Certificate available to eligible Curry County students through the Curry Campus.
