Choosing TIG welding training

TIG is the common name for gas tungsten arc welding, or GTAW. The two labels refer to the same process in this directory.

A focused TIG course, a combined MIG/TIG class and a full welding diploma serve different goals. The labels below identify the scope supported by the reviewed curriculum; a TIG tag alone does not establish a specialization.

Ask which materials and joints you will practice, how much supervised booth time is included, and whether prior welding experience is required. Advanced pipe courses may require earlier coursework or a proficiency test.
